Solo Exhibition at Artis--Naples, The Baker Museum Linling Lu: Fugue in 3 Voices November 2025 through April 2026
"Baltimore-based artist Linling Lu is best known for her sonically inspired circular paintings, which have been exhibited in museums and public collections around the world. Her hard-edge paintings are composed of concentric rings of color that appear to vibrate, and the shades of color in her paintings respond to the sounds she hears in classical music. For this installation, Lu is creating new work inspired by three of the composers featured in the Naples Philharmonic's 2025-26 Masterworks series: Dvořák, Stravinsky and Beethoven. Just as a fugue interweaves different musical voices, this exhibition weaves the influence of these three composers together into one cohesive installation. This exhibition is organized by Artis-Naples, The Baker Museum and curated by Courtney McNeil, museum director and chief curator." --Artis--Naples 2025-26 Brochure
